
Alpine skiing on "les Memises" with its wonderful views of Lake Geneva and the Alps of the Port de soleil. Although not a large ski area it has something to offer all ages so it is great for the whole family. A six day ski pass for the 2004-5 season will be €90 for adults and €80 for children. Children under 5 yrs and those over 70yrs of age ski FREE!

There are guided snowshoe walks through the countryside, where it is possible to see the evidence of the local wildlife in the area Les Memises is in one of Frances National Parks and is of outstanding natural beauty.
You could take a half day a full day or a night guided walk or just go at your own pace and soak up the sights.
There is a 6-kilometre piste that starts at the top of the Telecabine and follows the edge of Les Memises to the summit at 1674mtrs, with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and the lake.
There is also a path for walkers that starts at the top of the Telecabine. It is advised that you check with the tourist office before going out, as the walks are not always open due to adverse weather conditions. Enquiries at the tourist office.
Once a week during the school holidays at Christmas and in February there are local sleigh rides to be taken to see the beauty spots of and views from and around Thollon.
The Ecole du Ski Francaise runs the childrens' ski school during the school holidays in the Garden of Snow - accessible via the Telecabine and at a height of 1600mtrs.
